MedTech Growth Plan

According to the Dutch MedTech Growth Plan (part of the Wennink report), the Netherlands has a unique opportunity to become the leading European and one of the world’s leading MedTech ecosystems by 2035. Not only through groundbreaking technology, but through a human-centred, prevention-oriented and data-driven approach to health.

The future of healthy ageing lies not in more care, but in smarter, early and personalised care: where AI, wearables and integrated data platforms “empower” the individual, ease the burden on healthcare professionals and make the system more resilient.

A network of regional command centres forms the backbone of the Growth Plan. Through collaboration between government, industry, academia and healthcare institutions, and through smart investments in infrastructure, talent and reducing red tape, the Netherlands can create such an ecosystem, which genuinely works for people and society.
